Meet The Midwife - Ashley Campbell
I am saved by grace and love Christ with all my heart. My faith is the cornerstone of my life, my family, and the way I serve others. I am married to my best friend, and together we are blessed with six wonderful children whom we homeschool. I truly believe God has called me to the ministry of midwifery, and it is an honor to walk alongside women and families during such a sacred and transformative season of life.
My approach to both life and midwifery is deeply rooted in holistic care. I completed my midwifery training under the guidance of several wonderful holistic midwives in Southern Arizona, where I gained invaluable experience in supporting women throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My passion for home birth is also deeply personal. After experiencing two traumatic hospital births, I went on to have a beautiful and empowering home birth with my last pregnancy. That experience completely changed the way I viewed birth and strengthened my desire to help other women experience maternity care in which they feel safe, respected, informed, and supported.
I believe birth can be approached with confidence rather than fear, and that a woman's previous birth experiences do not have to define the births that follow. Every woman and every birth is unique, and my role is not to create a particular type of birth for you, but to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, individualized care as you prepare for the birth you desire.
Long before becoming a midwife, caring for babies and families was already an important part of my life. For more than 11 years, my husband and I served as foster parents and welcomed more than 20 infants and toddlers into our home. Through foster care, we were also blessed with the opportunity to adopt three of our children. Those years gave me extensive hands-on experience caring for infants and young children and deepened my compassion for families during vulnerable, and life-changing seasons.
I maintain a federal fingerprint clearance card and regularly renew my certifications in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid, as well as Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). Continuing my education and maintaining the skills necessary to care for mothers and newborns are responsibilities I take seriously.
Above all, I consider it a privilege to be invited into a family's birth space. My desire is to provide care that honors your values, respects your choices, supports the natural process of birth, and helps you feel genuinely known and cared for throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
